Hey, hey, hey it’s been a while. I took a leap of faith by launching my interior design business, July’s November Interiors. I have also entered the spring 2025 One Room Challenge. The One Room Challenge is open to all, who want to transform a space for over an eight-week time period and share their journey along the way. I’ve been an admirer of serval spaces I’ve seen transformed over the years and have wanted to participate. Since this year is about movement I’ve jumped on the train.
I’m refreshing my home office space, the space in my home that I spend the most time. I’m stepping out of my comfort zone and going for color. I’m normally a neutral color girl and I add color with accessories but not this time. The room will be drenched in color! Currently I’m trying to decide between Wild Current or Red Theatre, both by Sherwin Williams. I got samples today and have painted swatches of the colors on the wall. Since paint looks different at different times of the day, I’m waiting to view it at night fall to see how it looks. I’m leaning towards Red Theatre, from what I see in the daylight, I think lol. My inspiration for the color is an area rug that I have had for some time in the garage with rich hues of what I would say is burgundy. Help me decide by checking out my Instagram page @Tabithalhines
In conclusion for now, the plans for the room
I’m going for a moody, cozy space, with much needed storage. So, the plan is to paint the entire room one color, walls, ceiling and trim. Purchase a new concealed storage unit to hide all my stuff, the current one is open shelving that I don’t keep neat enough. Change the desk for one of the others I already have, change the ceiling fan out for a light fixture, new lamp, new curtains, and new art. Lastly, I will be shopping my home for some accessories to save on expenses. I will follow up soon with more updates. I hope you follow along and give some encouragement. I have attached photos of the current space, don’t judge me lol.
